Development & Assembly Technician (Part-Time)

We are looking for a Development and Assembly Technician to join our team on a flexible contract, working on a range of hands-on technical projects involving electronics, control systems, and assembly.

This role is ideal for a young person or someone at an early stage in their career who is keen to gain practical experience and develop technical skills.

The role would suit someone who enjoys practical technical work, problem-solving, and building electronic systems, particularly if you have an interest in remote control modelling, robotics, or electronics projects.

The role will involve:

  • Basic electronics work

  • Circuit design

  • PCB design

  • Writing and modifying basic software for PICs, Raspberry Pi, and Arduino

  • Soldering and assembly, including PCB work

What we are looking for:

  • Not all of the above skills are essential

  • A keen willingness to learn and develop new technical skills

  • A practical, methodical approach with good attention to detail

  • Interest or experience in electronics, robotics, or related technical hobbies

Working arrangements and pay:

  • Flexible contract

  • From £18 per hour, depending on skills and experience

  • Based mainly on-site, with the possibility of some remote working

  • Part-time initially, with the potential to move to full-time as skills and experience develop
