Powering PROTON: Micro L Head Selected for NEP’s 2026 Repco Supercars Championship Coverage
We are proud to share that the BR Remote Micro L Head is supporting NEP Australia’s broadcast coverage of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.
The Repco Supercars Championship is Australia’s premier touring car racing series and one of the largest motorsport events in the Southern Hemisphere. The championship attracts millions of viewers across Australia and internationally, with extensive live television and streaming coverage across multiple race weekends.
Proton camera mounted on a Micro L Head
More than 130 PROTON in-car camera systems have been deployed across the series, powered and controlled by our Micro L Head.
The Micro L Head:
Powers the PROTON camera directly
Has camera control protocols built into the head
Is compatible with other mini cameras, e.g. Dreamchip, Marshall
Reduces cabling and external hardware
Simplifies rigging for large-scale deployments
Increases reliability in extreme motorsport conditions
In high-vibration racing environments where space is limited and reliability is critical, integration matters. By embedding power and control directly within the head, production teams can reduce complexity and improve efficiency across the entire broadcast workflow.
We are pleased to see our compact engineering playing a role in delivering immersive in-car and trackside coverage for an event of this scale.
